Responsibilities:

  • drove and delivered 6 quests total (2 main quests, 2 planet introductions, first expert quest, first faction quest, 1 quest that classified as “most memorable” in UT) championing the holistic experience of each quest while being supported by, and being embedded in, each quest’s incredible cell team
  • QD owner of e3 gameplay reveal
  • 1 of 2 QD owners for Vertical Slice to achieve buy-in from external stakeholders
  • direct quest adjacent content teams in my quest regions to work with and incorporate the quest narrative
  • establish and maintain deeply wholesome and uplifting quest cell teams per quest
  • try my best to create an atmosphere of lightheartedness, fun, kindness, professionalism, empathy, and encouragement, while delivering content to the highest quality
  • design, script, and maintain different types of realization
  • script and maintain each quest’s logic with clearly readable documentation (checkpoint logic, narrative logic, player guidance, VOs, quest npcs, items, player experience, interacts, quest objectives, timings, bespoke events, living world events, flyovers, vignettes, npc moments, and many more, anything the player experiences in a quest that isn’t art or combat logic) and work in close collaboration with level designers to ensure quest logic and level logic work hand in hand
  • conduct progress reviews for my quests, gather feedback from the other departments and work with them to reach the optimal finished state
  • plan, design, request and conduct progress reviews of deliveries and requested assets for my quests, provide feedback in each stage of an asset’s production to ensure it seamlessly slots into the quest and implement them (characters, cinematics, sequences, CAPs, sounds, music, props, quest items, bespoke GDIs, and many others)
